Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page and support Kimbridge Barn on our Test Way Walk!
We have decided to collect donations for Simon Says - Child Bereavement Support. As a charity connected to a member of our management team, and also local to Kimbridge barn, we wanted to help a cause not only close to our hearts, but to also keep supporting the local area!
Simon Says Background - Simon Stanley was a 37 year old teacher from Southampton when he died from cancer. His wife Sally found there was no bereavement support locally for their two small children. Their experiences have led to the establishment of “Simon Says” as a registered charity.
Research has shown that the Stanley’s experience is not unique and there is a wider need to provide resources and information to children and parents and to those working with children The need for support in Hampshire is astonishing. It is estimated that each year, around 400 parents die in the county, leaving around 690 dependent children (aged 0-17).
Any donation you can give to help us raise as much money as possible for this great charity would be hugely appreciated.
