We are baking for 12 continuous hours to raise money for Great Ormond Street Children's Charity.

When my sister Abbie was only just under a year old, Great Ormond Street Hospital provided my sister with life-changing surgery to repair her hip joint that hadn't formed properly, meaning that she is now able to walk and live a happy, healthy life.

Great Ormond Street Hospital looked after Abbie until she turned 18 years old, during which they provided nothing short of exemplary care and looked after my family during the initial very stressful time for us all.

On the 7th of December 2024, Abbie and I will be baking for 12 HOURS STRAIGHT to raise money for Great Ormond Street Children's Charity to enable them to continue doing the absolutely brilliant and life-saving work that they do every single day.

We have chosen to fundraise through baking (even though it is not my strong suit!) as it is something that Abbie loves and without Great Ormond Street's support and care, Abbie would be unable to do.

We will be live-streaming Hour 1 and Hour 12 (and some bits in between!) of the Bakeathon on Facebook so you'll be able to see all of our hard work in action!

We will be selling our bakes the next day at The Okehampton Girlguiding Christmas Concert.

All the funds raised from sponsorship and cake sales will go directly to Great Ormond Street Children's Charity.
