Kayla’s YMCA Fundraiser

Kayla Ruleaux is raising money for YMCA of Austin
The Y helps address critical needs like affordable childcare for parents, safe spaces for children to play, fitness opportunities for adults, swim safety for kids, meaningful jobs for teens, and access to mental health care for everyone.

Story

I became involved with the YMCA in high school through Texas Youth and Government. It gave me a voice and a place to learn about serving and being active in public service.

Still a very active volunteer, the YMCA continues to find ways to provide programming and a safe space for teens. Specifically, the North YMCA where I serve as the board chair provides activities and a place where teens feel included and protected in a lower income neighborhood.

As the recent Texas Youth and Government governor said, “We can be anything as long as we are kind and grateful”. I truly believe the Y helps push that message daily.

I encourage you to donate to continue providing access for kids to the Y today!
