We provide specialist nurses to support families affected by dementia

Story

On August 3rd, together with my Carterwood colleagues, Aish, Bianca, Daisy, and Emmie, I will be embarking on a 50km non-stop walking challenge along the picturesque South West Coast and across Exmoor. With over 1600 meters of climb ahead of us, it's the equivalent of scaling Ben Nevis, then climbing The Shard ⛰️

Besides the challenge and adventure, we're doing it all for a very worth cause - Dementia UK. Every three minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia, making it one of the most pressing health issues of our time.

Throughout the summer, I'll also be creating hand-made items like hair accessories and things for the home, baking delicious cakes and even propagating some plant cuttings to help boost fundraising. ✂️🌿🍰

Families affected by dementia often find themselves lost in a sea of uncertainty and confusion, unsure of where to turn for help. That's where Dementia UK steps in, providing invaluable support through their Admiral Nurses. These dedicated professionals offer guidance, comfort, and expertise to families navigating the challenges of dementia, ensuring that no one ever feels alone in their journey.

Your donations will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by dementia.

Thank you for your support!
