Hey Everyone,

On the 8th September myself and other members of the Ty Hafan Team will be taking on the challenge of running 25 kilometres to celebrate 25 years of Ty Hafan, but most importantly hope to raise enough money to purchase an adapted vehicle to take the incredible children and young people who access Ty Hafan out on trips.

Every child or young person that comes to the hospice carries their own story of strength and resilience. The importance of making memories and creating moments of joy in what can be the hardest of times is vital. I have been privileged enough to work at Ty Hafan for the past 10 years and have witnessed how transformative these trips out can be for the kids. Those little moments like a walk on the beach or a trip to a farm gives so much to the children, young people and families we care for at what can be some of the hardest times of their lives. Unfortunately, we have no access to an adapted vehicle to be able to do this at the moment. This is why the Team have decided to take on this challenge and raise money to achieve this!
