The kids cancer charity supported myself my two sisters and brother when my older sister Hannah was diagnosed with cancer not once but twice. They visited us, supported us from home and in hospital. They provided us with a special play therapist who gently explained complex medical issues to us as small children and made us feel safe and seen. She also spent time with each of us individually and helped us with our very big feelings and worries. The time spent with us gave our parents the space and support they also needed. Thankfully my sister has stayed in remission and we are now in our new normal and joining after school clubs..

I started running at the Swansea junior park run and wanted to do an event near my park run, I had lots of fun and really enjoyed when I finished we saw the ladies at a charity stall it was like a family reunion and when I realised I could run for them this year to give back and help I put my name forward for this year. I’ve also got my dad to help too :). Dad will be entering the 10k and I myself will be running the 3k. I’m so happy I can do this and help the charity to continue helping other families like mine x
