Story

Millie has been lucky enough to have benefited from a Family Fund grant. She now wants to raise some vital funds to help another child.

Millie is 5 years old and has Irlen Syndrome which is a visual perception disorder, she is also hypermobile and regularly suffers with joint pains. Millie is also on the waiting list for an autism assessment and will be assessed for ADHD when she reaches 7. For her to ride 50 lengths of our street on her balance bike is a huge deal for her. We are doing it over a week so it doesn’t overwhelm her.

Family Fund is the UK’s largest charity providing grants for families raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people. Every day, families tell us how this support has a huge impact on their lives, but we want to make an even bigger difference to even more families. Last year, we provided over 150,000 grants or services across the UK.
