Story
Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page. In June 2024, our family experienced the incredible care and support provided by Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity during my sister's percutaneous pulmonary valve replacement. Witnessing the advancements in medical procedures, particularly the transition to keyhole surgeries, has been truly remarkable. This hospital specialises in Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) and plays a vital role in the ongoing care of patients who have survived childhood heart conditions. As a family, we are committed to raising awareness about ACHD and supporting the hospital's research efforts.
Our motivation stems from the need for continued medical attention and surgical interventions for ACHD patients throughout their lives. We are determined to contribute to this cause by participating in the London Halloween Walk 2024 on October 26th. Our goal is to raise funds for Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity, with a target amount of £5,000. This walk holds special significance as it symbolises our collective effort to ensure that patients like my sister receive the care they deserve.
We are particularly passionate about raising funds for additional beds in the cardiac ward's theatre room. The shortage of beds during my sister's surgery was a stark reminder of the pressing need for more resources in this area. Your support will directly impact the lives of ACHD patients and contribute to the hospital's ability to provide exceptional care.
Join us in making a difference by donating through JustGiving - your contribution will go directly to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity, enabling them to continue their invaluable work.
