We Generate Funds to support brain haemorrhage research

Story

It's officially happening… on 21st April 2024 I'm running the London Marathon (with a newly regrown Achilles and calf muscle) aaaaaahh!! 🏃🏼‍♀️😱

I'm doing this to raise money for the Natalie Kate Moss Trust, which is a charity that has occupied a huge chunk of my heart since 2012.

My best friend Fi unexpectedly lost her beautiful sister Natalie to a brain haemorrhage at just 26 years old whilst we were at university. To keep Nats' spirit alive, Fi and her incredible family set up NKMT which works to prevent similar tragedies through educating and funding ground-breaking research into brain haemorrhages. Only 3 out of 5 people survive longer than one month after a brain haemorrhage causing three million deaths a year, many of which are preventable.

Fi has gone through so much, having also lost her incredible boyfriend Andrew to myeloma and recently her wonderful Dad Phil to a heart attack. However, this isn't what defines Fi; it is her ability to keep fighting to make the world a better place, proving that life is to be lived and choosing to march on no matter what.

Simply put, Fi is extraordinary and every step I run will be both for her and the vital work that NKMT does under her leadership.

A marathon is going to be one hell of a challenge, particularly given that four months ago I was still in a boot and on crutches…. so if you're able to spare any number of pennies, I would be massively grateful for the support towards such an amazing cause.

If you're in London on 21st April, please feel free to scream encouragement at me, my word I think I'll need it! And please share this link far and wide to raise awareness and donations for such a fantastic cause.

THANK YOU SO MUCH xxx 💜

About the charity

The Natalie Kate Moss Trust was setup in 2012 by the Moss family after the sudden death of Natalie from a brain haemorrhage. With only 3 out of 5 people surviving a brain haemorrhage within one month, the trust is on a mission to prevent and treat as many brain haemorrhages as possible.
