Make Change Count is the city’s combined fundraising campaign that provides much needed funds to local charities who support and prevent homelessness.

Story

I’m taking on a challenge so bold, so unheard of, that no one has ever attempted it before… I’m running a marathon for charity. Truly, history in the making.

But, homelessness is rising, with rough sleeping up 26% in England from 2022 to 2023. Rough sleepers make up less than 10% of the homeless population, while many more struggle due to soaring rents, evictions, and the cost of living crisis.

Make Change Count brings together local charities that provide life-changing support—hot meals, emergency accommodation, mental health care, and long-term help with housing and employment. Every penny donated goes directly to those in need, helping people off the streets and onto a path to stability.

If you can, please donate—because real change starts with small steps (and a lot of running in my case).
