Story
On 29th June I will be “sleeping out” to raise money for shelter. Having a safe place to call home with food, water and warmth surrounded by our loved ones is something that can quite easily be taken for granted. Yet for way too many people these basic rights are denied. The uncertainty of when you may eat again, where you will sleep and under what conditions or if you will be safe from harm is hard to comprehend but for way too many this is reality. There are many reasons why people become homeless such as poor mental health, debt, domestic abuse and loss of jobs all of which could happen to any one of us.
The housing crisis is a national emergency. Right now, thousands of people are trying to get by without a safe place to call home. Any donation no matter how big or small is appreciated.
