Great North Run and Rome - Ostia Half Marathons

Welcome to the Mental Health Foundation team page for UK events 2024.

Story

This past year in particular has been a huge reminder of how important mental health is. So many people sit with poor mental health and struggle to get the necessary help until unfortunately it is too late. Even those who have the brightest of lights can still succumb to this disease.

With suicide rates higher than ever and being the number one cause of death in men under 40 in the UK more needs to be done.

With huge strains on the NHS mental health charities are more important than ever before so this is my little something to try and give back. I will be completing the GNR on Sunday 8th September and then the Rome half marathon on Sunday 2nd March.

Any donations would be hugely appreciated and aid in the bigger cause of reducing how many suffer with poor mental health.

The Mental Health Foundation believe no-one living in the UK should be deprived of the opportunity for good mental health because of who they are, the community they come from or where they live. We’re developing better ways to support good mental health in every community.
