We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

My Dad, Ian, and I are climbing Kilimanjaro in January 2025!

The challenge will involve climbing the tallest mountain in Africa over a period of 8 days while camping on the mountain each night.

This is something we have been planning for a while and are training hard for. We both enjoy hiking and since we’ve climbed the tallest mountains in the UK we thought why not try one in Africa!

We would love to do this challenge and raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK as we have sadly had a few of our family members suffer from dementia.

Every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.

We are the UK's leading dementia research charity. We exist for a cure.

Your donation helps our scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia.
