Story
From London to Iceland, I’ll be embarking on a challenging charity trek to raise funds for vital dementia research. Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store:
Day One embark on a 4-6 hour walk, passing Gullfoss waterfall to Lake Pingvallavatn. We expect icy trails and rough terrain.
Day Two our journey takes us to Nesjavellir which means navigating the geothermal landscape filled with lava rocks, bubbling mud pots and boiling springs over the 4 -5 hour stretch.
Day Three and Reykjadalur awaits where we'll face a gruelling 5-6 hour trek through a landscape of steam vents and bubbling mud pools.
On the final day, and with aching bones, we get a chance to explore Reykjavik where we will have a celebratory dinner, marking the end of a journey that will have truly tested our limits.
This trek is not just a personal challenge, it’s a chance to make a significant impact. If you can, please support this important cause by donating.
Every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.
We are the UK's leading dementia research charity. We exist for a cure.
Your donation helps our scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia.
