We provide specialist nurses to support families affected by dementia

Story

In June I will be taking part in the Blenheim Palace Triathlon on behalf of a family friend who has recently been diagnosed with Dementia.

Watching someone with this disease can feel very helpless which is why Dementia UK is so important in helping support individuals suffering and also families in the best way possible.

Dementia UK is the only national charity caring for the entire family of someone with dementia, through specialist dementia Admiral Nurses.

When things get challenging or difficult, Admiral Nurses work alongside people with dementia, and their families, giving them one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions. The unique dementia expertise and experience an Admiral Nurse brings is a lifeline – it helps families to live more positively with dementia in the present, and to face the challenges of tomorrow with more confidence and less fear.

Any donation is greatly appreciated, thanks.
