Story

Piam Brown Ward is the Wessex children's cancer unit. We care for children from birth to 16 years old with all forms of cancer. Funded by Southampton Hospitals Charity.

All donations enhance the experience of our young patients and their families whist under our care.

Through the charity we are able to provide toys, games and craft equipment for our youngsters, parent facilities to create a pleasant environment during long stays, motivational trips and outings providing happy family memories, psychological support as well as research and education.

All donations are appreciated no matter how large or small.

Kate’s daughter Olivia was diagnosed with Infant ALL leukaemia in November 2004 when she was just 5 weeks old.

Sadly Olivia passed away aged 2 years 10 months in August 2007 after spending 617 days as an inpatient over 3 different hospitals.

This October Olivia would have been 21, a big milestone that we don’t get to celebrate with her. So Kate’s work place, Alresford Haircare thought they would raise money for the ward olivia was treated on for most of her short life as a way to celebrate her life and birthday.
