Story

Our family will be tackling the Dorset Walk again this year... this will be our 5th walk overall (3rd one in Dorset).

To challenge ourselves and hopefully raise more money and awareness, we have decided to also complete some additional activities!

1. On Good Friday, 29th March, we (all of us apart from Sophie) will be attempting to complete the Pathfinder long distance walk. This is a 46 mile circular walk around our local villages, linking the historic RAF Pathfinder Stations that are Wyton, Graveley, Oakington and Warboys. To be successful the walk must be completed within 20 hours.

2. On Saturday 8th June, Brian and Kathryn will be attempting to complete the 3 Peaks challenge within 24 hours. The 3 peaks are Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden.

3. Sophie will be making 400+ TMWF Bracelets, in the colours of this years t-shirts, to be sold to the participants of the walk and anyone else who wants one.

4. We plan on running a cake and craft stall in the local area. Date and Location tbc.

Wish us all luck, please dig deep and sponsor us to complete all of the above!

TMWF provides amazing support to Cancer sufferers as well as their families. It was setup by a friend of ours after his father, Malcolm, passed away at just 55 years old from Bowel Cancer. The Dorset Walk has had a huge impact since the first walk back in 2009. Please take a look at their webpage:

The Malcolm Whales Foundation (tmwf.co.uk)

TMWF is still a very young charity that has already achieved great things. It is looking to get bigger, better and impact wider.

The charity is going from strength to strength each year, this year the walk is fully subscribed with an incredible 400 people taking part.
