Story
I will be taking part in this year’s BooBee Big Campaign ’Bingo Bedlam’ on Saturday 12th October at Manchester airport to raise some money to support ‘Prevent Breast Cancer.’
I am going completely out of my comfort zone and taking part in the catwalk but not just any catwalk… I will be getting my kit off and strutting my stuff in only underwear 🫣 yes seriously!
As most of you know, I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in January this year and I have just finished the last of my 16rounds of chemotherapy. My body has changed so much over the last 6months due to chemotherapy and steroids and it will continue to change when I have my double mastectomy too.
I think its important to raise as much awareness as possible about this awful disease and encourage women to check their breasts and I thought why not have a bit of fun while raising a few pennies too 😀
I know times are hard but anything at all that you can donate will be so greatly appreciated and I’m definitely sure it will help the clothes to come off a little easier too 😉
About BooBee:
Headed by Margo Cornish and her Queen Bees, BooBee's third campaign is passionately committed to:
- raise awareness about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer
- create new support networks for women living with breast cancer
- having a positive impact on women's health, well-being and self esteem
- raising vital funds for their selected charities.
About Prevent Breast Cancer:
Prevent Breast Cancer is the only charity in the UK committed solely to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer. Unlike many cancer charities, rather than finding a cure, we are entirely dedicated to using science to save lives, to preventing future generations from ever being diagnosed with breast cancer.
