Story
In the summer of 2025, I’ll embark on an extraordinary challenge: cycling The Route, where a team of female amateur cyclists will conquer every stage of the 2025 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift (TdFFaZ), just one day ahead of the professionals.
I am doing this ride in honor of my father, Joe Curi, who bravely fought leukemia but sadly lost his battle. This ride is not just a physical challenge, but a deeply personal journey to make a difference in the lives of those affected by this devastating disease.
My dad's courage throughout his battle with leukemia was truly inspiring. He faced each day with unwavering strength and a positive attitude that touched everyone around him. Now, I want to channel that same spirit into this fundraising effort, pedaling mile after mile to bring hope to others fighting leukemia.
Growing up, my dad was always one of my biggest supporters of my athletics. This bike ride is my way of cheering for him now, just as he always did for me.
Dad always believed in giving back to the community. This bike ride isn't just about raising money; it's about carrying forward his legacy of kindness and compassion. Every mile I pedal is a tribute to the way he lived his life – always pushing forward, always helping others.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to finding better treatments and ultimately a cure for leukemia. Your support will help fund crucial research, provide assistance to patients and their families, and bring us closer to a world where no one has to suffer from this disease.
By contributing to this cause, you're not just helping me reach my fundraising goal – you're honoring my dad's memory and joining the fight against leukemia. Together, we can make a real impact and potentially save lives.
As I prepare for this challenging ride, I'm reminded of a powerful quote: "You don't know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have". My dad showed incredible strength during his short battle, and now it's my turn to be strong for him and for all those affected by leukemia.
Please consider making a donation to support this important cause. Your generosity will fuel not only my ride but also the hope for a future free from leukemia. Let's turn my pedal strokes into progress against this disease, one mile at a time.
Thank you for your support and for helping me honor my dad's memory in such a meaningful way. RIP dad, 1938 - 2007.
