Story
If you’ve ever watched a show at The Pump House, then chances are you’d have spotted the buckets hanging from the rafters, catching (most of) the raindrops. It’s very much past its sell by date and is in desperate need of repair. They have big plans to renovate but urgently need to raise the funds.
The Pump House Theatre used to be the pumping station, supplying water to the watford area. In the 1970’s it was converted into an theatre but has since grown into so much more. On a personal level my kids have been part of the Children’s Youth Theatre and Young Adults Theatre group for many years. It nurtures young talent and fosters creativity alongside providing a safe environment them to develop as excellent humans! We have benefitted hugely as a family from being part of this community.
The Pump House is also home (or one of the homes) to Electric Umbrella…… again, inclusive creativity under one roof…… but it’s the roof that is causing the problem!
That’s what this is about!
So ….. if you wanted to buy me a pint (or half a pint!) for my birthday this year! I’d love it if you could donate the cost of it to “raise the roof”…
It would really make a difference to our local community and the Arts scene in our town if The Pump House continues to thrive …..
And my liver will be better off in the long run.
Thankyou x
