Story

Ahoy-Hoy!

Alison Foster an I are taking part in RUN Hereford 2023 by taking on the 10k run, in memory of our lovely chum (fancy dress maestro and general nutcase) Angela Walker, who very sadly left us in December 2022.

As I'm a bit old, fat and lazy, I'm sure she'd be having a good chuckle at me, hauling my corpulent form around the course and feel amused pity for Alison, who's actually a fit and enthusiastic runner!

We're hoping to raise some funds for St Michaels Hospice, Hereford, who gave the best care and support to Angela, through some of the toughest times; and cared for her and her family with phenomenal kindness and consideration at the end of her life.

By supporting St Michaels Hospice we will continue to give care for the people in our community that need us, whether that's pain relief, respite or counselling support.

We will also strive to go above and beyond with support groups, carers and those who have been recently bereaved being invited in for lunches, fun events and ways to get involved.

Raising sponsorship for St Michaels Hospice means that these additional services, beyond conventional care, can continue. Whatever you can give towards this event, we really appreciate it.
