For Emma

Angkor Wat International Half Marathon · 3 December 2023
Every parent's worst nightmare is hearing those two words - it's Cancer.
On the 5th of May 2023, 9 year Emma Paduch was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukaemia. Over the next gruelling 6 months, Emma underwent aggressive chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant on her journey to recovery. This brave little girl was supported by the amazing doctors and nurses at Hong Kong Children’s hospital.
Unfortunately for thousands of other children, access to this type of treatment isn't readily available in underdeveloped countries.
On the 3rd of December, Kate Rodrigues and Laura Jones will be running in the annual Angkor Wat Half Marathon. Emma's mum was meant to join us for part of this run however with the news had to prioritise being with Emma. To commemorate this brave little girl's journey, we'd like to raise money for children in a similar position in Cambodia.
Angkor Wat hospital is a flagship hospital pioneering special treatments and care rarely available elsewhere in Cambodia that treats many children like Emma everyday.
Whilst challenging ourselves to complete this half-marathon - we're doing this for Emma, our dear friend Goska and for those children in Cambodia in need of key treatments, we would be grateful for any contributions to this vital cause.
