Story

As competitive horse riders we are very aware of the risks that are involved in the sport, including life changing spinal injuries. By raising money for this charity we hope to help research progress and therefore reduce the chances of paralysis.

Inspired by Nicola Wilson who suffered a spinal injury from a fall at Badminton, we are taking part in the Great North Run 2024 to raise money for Spinal Research!

Someone sustains a spinal cord injury every four hours in the UK. Living with an SCI often means a lifetime of health and care costs, as well as the threat of secondary healthcare complications.

Spinal Research is the UKs leading medical charity focused on the repair and restoration of the spinal cord, and we exist to beat paralysis.

Spinal Research do not receive governmental funding; all projects are funded by donations.

With your help, we can #BeatParalyis.
