Story
I’m running my second half marathon in memory of my incredible friend Carys and my brilliant Uncle Frank. My Mum was one of the lucky ones who survived breast cancer and secondly cancer of the womb, she died from kidney failure in 2020, but we had 23 extra years together. Carys and my Uncle Frank weren’t so lucky, they both died from bowel cancer in 2021.
These 13.1 miles are for them and to raise money to fund vital research into early diagnosis and better treatments for cancers like bowel cancer, because we all want longer with the ones we love.
There are six of us from cowshed joining forces to raise a minimum of £2,100, if you can donate to support our efforts it would be greatly appreciated.
