For the tears we see. And those we don’t. Help us reach children before it’s too late by taking part in London Marathon 2024 with Place2Be.

Story

Place2Be is the UK's leading school-based mental health charity, providing support to children, families and school-based staff when they need it most.

Mental health services for children are massively under-resourced. CAMHS waiting lists are so long that many children end up missing out on support completely. Place2Be is a charity that is making a difference for some children that would otherwise miss out. I am reminded of this constantly in my work in the Family Court.

I can attest to the fact that children in cases that I have been involved with have been able to access support through Place2Be. I am therefore confident that any money that I am able to raise will have a positive impact on the wellbeing of children and young people, many of whom are are dealing with unimaginable challenges in their home and school lives.

Thinking about the children that might just be able to get the support they need to build positive childhood memories will keep me going over 26 miles on 21st April.

Please help me support Place2Be’s vital work, and together we can make a real difference to children's mental health and ensure that children don’t have to face mental health problems alone.
