Story
June 2024 marks the first anniversary of us all losing a close family friend. The Blood, Gardner, Kingsley, and Finch Families all met back in 2012 through antenatal and baby groups when our eldest children were born. Over the years, we grew very close and were devasted when Tom Finch was diagnosed with a brain tumour. After a brave fight, we sadly had to say goodbye to him in June 2023. Tom and his wife, Sarah, and children Poppy and James were supported by Loros. It, therefore, seemed fitting to take on the challenge of the Twilight walk in Tom's memory and raise much needed funds for Loros so they may support other families in their time of need. The Blood Family: Charlie, Claire, Alice and Lucy; The Gardner Family: Justin, Nic, Isabelle and Emily and the Kingsley Family: Seb, Kate, Jessica and Sophie will all be taking on the challenge.
LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions, and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.
Thank you for reading our story, and if you are able to give to this fantastic charity, we would be so grateful.LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible.
