Story
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
❤️My story❤️
As many of you know I have always wanted to run London Marathon. After years of trying I’m finally in!!!
I lost the love for running in 2020 following the death of my dad. He died on May 3rd 2020 from cardiac arrest. I was with him and gave him CPR for nearly 20 minutes until the paramedics came and took over. The whole traumatic event is something that will never leave me, I relive it daily but I am thankful I was there and also knew what to do. Sadly for me it was too late but I want to prevent this happening to any of my friends / family hence deciding to run for BHF. I want to of course raise as much money as possible but also raise awareness of the signs, symptoms of heart problems - whilst also encouraging people to do CPR and first aid courses.
I promise you all I’ll be in the best shape physically for the 26.2 miles - I’ll run my little legs off to make my dad proud. He grew up around the streets of Greenwich so starting there is going to be cathartic and no doubt emotional.
Let’s do this dad ❤️
