Story
On behalf of Guadalupe's birthday, we are supporting her much beloved charity and education project, Game Rangers International's New Ngoma School, which was handed over the community at the start of August.
On behalf of Chief Musungwa and the Zambian Government, Itezhi-Tezhi District Commissioner, Tobias Namantemba, was incredibly grateful for the school, and Guadalupe’s generosity.
“This structure erected here is a symbol of the love, passion and support you have for people and how much you value education. As parents, we are happy that our children will no longer risk their lives covering long distances to access education in neighbouring villages infested with dangerous wild animals” said Namantemba.
We are hoping to rase funds so that the school children can have uniforms to attend the school, and that the school can hire two community women to provide cooked breakfast and lunches for the kids on school days.
The uniforms are $12 each and we would like to donate 103 of them, totalling $1,236
To hire the ladies, it would be $85 per month, equalling $1020 per year.
We would also like to be able to contribute to creating the library for the school including shelving and books $2,500.
Game Rangers International believe that sustainable and long-term conservation can only be achieved if communities living around protected areas are fully informed, fully involved, and fully able to experience the benefits of healthy and viable ecosystems. Critical to this, is ensuring that children living alongside wildlife have access to quality education and receive tangible benefits from conservation from an early age.
Please donate today, to support this wonderful project in Guadalupe’s name.
