Story
Thank you so much for visiting my page!
I'm joining an awesome and inspiring lady and her team, Lou’s walking warriors, to complete the Step into Spring challenge, doing 100 miles in 30 days for Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments.
Lou has Leiomyosarcoma. Back in 2016 it started as a soft tissue sarcoma wrapped around her kidney and now is in her bones too. It has metastasised in her liver and lungs and there is no longer a cure for her. Lou undergoes palliative chemo treatment every 3 weeks and this will be ongoing as long as the chemo stops the tumours from growing.
Lou will also be completing the challenge, even though she’ll have her 2 rounds of chemo within the 30 days!
Thank you so much for your donations xx
Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep the specialist Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.
Your donations go so far in helping the sarcoma community:
£1 Could cover the cost of 10 texts to the support line.
£10 Could be used to buy microscope slides to look at cells in minute detail.
£30 Could fund one hour of use of a high-powered laboratory microscope.
£150 Could fund the support line for a week.
Thank you for your support.
