Story

Our Story.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Just Giving Page. Back in 2014, we sadly lost our beautiful cousin Lawrence. He passed away on 20/5, the eve of his 27th birthday, after battling addiction and mental health struggles. Lawrence was a kind-hearted, fun-loving son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend to many. He was adored unconditionally. He was very sociable, who wouldn't or rather, couldn't go by you without a word, and had a great love for music.

The Challenge.

On Sunday 26th May myself, my brother Brendan, our cousins Feargus and Duncan, along with my loyal friend will run the Manchester 10k in memory of Lawrence.

The Charity.

The charity we have chosen to raise money for is Cuan Mhuire. Cuan Mhuire is Ireland’s largest voluntary provider of Addiction Treatment Services and Residential Rehabilitation. Its main objective is the rehabilitation of persons, of any religion or none, suffering from alcohol, drug and gambling addictions. Cuan Mhuire also supports the families of those suffering from addiction. More information can be found at https://cuanmhuire.ie/

Any donation of whatever size will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way to help those in recovery . We will keep you updated on our progress
