Story
Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT) supports innovation in patient care and helps to make Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals, even better. I am running the Cambridge Half Marathon 2025 to support this amazing charity.
Please sponsor me.
In 2021 my mum-in-law, Caroline, was referred to Addenbrooke's for treatment and ultimately a stem cell transplant following a leukaemia diagnosis. The diagnosis was shocking enough, but this was compounded by Covid still being very much present and a threat to those with compromised immune systems such as her, and she spent many anxious days, in isolation, on the blood cancer ward whilst she was treated. Pleased to say that the transplant worked and she is fit and well - although we've let her off joining Jase and I on the run😉!
Along with the amazing medical team, we owe a huge debt to the work that ACT does in providing the pioneering equipment and beautiful respite areas that make Addenbrooke's the centre of excellence for cancer treatment it is.
Anything you can give to the cause would be amazing. Thanks!
