Polar Plunge 2024 · 17 February 2024 ·

We’re calling on all hardy souls to swim 50m in the freezing waters of the Sandford Parks Lido in Cheltenham on Saturday 17th February 2024. Why? All the money you raise will help us support grieving children, young people and their families.

Story

Winston’s Wish is a local charity that helps children, young people and families to find their feet when their worlds are turned upside down by grief.

When I saw they were holding a cold water swimming challenge, I thought I could put my silly hobby to a good cause and raise some money for this worthwhile cause. WW are asking for a 50m swim but I’m aiming for 500m.

How your support helps:

£12 could provide one child with a memory box, allowing them to cherish and remember their loved one in a truly personal way

£16 could pay for a live chat session for a child or young person

£26 could fund a resource pack for a grieving child, including activity kits to help them to remember their special person

£54 could help pay for us to run an online support group for young people

Anything you can give would be most appreciated.
