Event: “Off the Block” Charity Abseil, on 21 September 2024
This could be your only opportunity to abseil off the top of the Ward Block at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and raise funds to improve the health of local people.

Story

Anyone who knows me will know that I'm not that keen on heights, so I didn't know that an abseil from the ward block at RSH to raise money for the hospital was on my bucket list...

Amazing how doing something unexpected and raising money for some important funds within SaTH Charity seemed too good an opportunity to pass up!

Donations through my link will be split between

Diabetes fund - my sister Liz and I have more than 96 years experience of Type 1 diabetes between us!!

Dementia fund - I've worked with SaTH's incredible Dementia team since joining the Trust and am a Dementia Friends Ambassador.

Armed Forces fund - as well as having family links, I've been privileged to work with Armed Forces Veterans as part of my role.

I have recently strained my left shoulder and Molly has said they will step in (or off!) if it isn't recovered, but please be assured that I am doing everything I can to make sure I can take part in September
