15 Epic Challenges for 15 Years of Fisher House
Fisher House is a vital "home away from home" for military patients and their families at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. This incredible 18-bedroom facility provides free accommodation and a safe haven just a five minute walk from the hospital wards, ensuring families can stay together during the most difficult times.
Why This Matters to Me
This cause is deeply personal. In 2005, I was treated in Birmingham for injuries I sustained while deployed to Basra, Iraq. I know firsthand how difficult the road to recovery can be. I also know how crucial Fisher House is, it keeps loved ones together while patients endure operations and long rehabilitations.
The Mission: 15 Challenges
In June 2028, Fisher House will celebrate its 15th anniversary. To mark this milestone and raise vital funds to keep this facility running entirely on donations, I am launching an eighteen month campaign. From January 2027 until June 2028, I will tackle 15 epic endurance challenges.
Here is a preview of the schedule ahead:
Jan 2027: The Arc of Attrition (82km Ultramarathon)
Mar 2027: Chianti Ultra Trail, Italy (72km Ultramarathon)
Dec 2027: Rwanda Ultramarathon (110km)
Date TBC: RAF Brize Norton to Fisher House (100km Ultramarathon)
Date TBC: Ben Nevis Triple Summit
Date TBC: Shropshire 300 (89 hills over 300 metres high in one continuous push)
Date TBC: Everest In-House (Climbing the height of Mt. Everest inside Fisher House)

Seven more epic challenges will be announced soon!
