WOAM Namibia Expedition 2023

Story

Hi, it's Karine here, I'm embarking on a life & lives-changing adventure, and I need your support.

💪 A Challenge for Change

From September 9th to 18th, 2023, I'll be trekking 125km across the Namib Desert over 6 days, driven by a commitment to stand up for some of the world’s most vulnerable women. As a proud co-founder and member of the "Women on a Mission" (WOAM) team, I'm setting off with 16 extraordinary women from around of the globe.

Our shared goal? To support and empower women who have survived the horrors of conflict in Ukraine, Afghanistan, and Sudan. We do this by raising funds for Women for Women International, an organisation that provides tools and resources to help women rebuild their lives after war, strife, and conflicts, leading them from crisis to self-sufficiency. I encourage you to check the impact of their work; it is nothing short of lives changing: https://www.womenforwomen.org

Crossing the Namib Desert is symbolic of the challenges these women face daily. We’re attempting to be the first all-female team to complete this crossing, scaling the world's tallest sand dunes, and pushing boundaries to show that transformation is possible, for us, for them.

🤝 Help Me Reach Our $75,000 Target

Together, we aim to raise $75,000 USD for Women for Women International (WFWI). I'm self-funding this expedition, so 100% of your donation directly funds their programs, and every donation, regardless of size is an investment in these women's futures (you can check examples further down).

🌈 Join Me in Transforming Lives

This isn't just one expedition; it's a continuation of my journey as WOAM co-founder (we have organised 12 expeditions and raised over US$ 1,000,000 to date) to pave the way for brighter, empowered futures for women survivors of war and violence. We’ve been supporting Women for Women International for over a decade now, and, on a personal level, I sponsor a woman through their life-altering training program every year.

📣 Stand with me. Spread the word. Have an impact. Donate Now!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Karine

PS. Thanks to the anonymous donors...I'd love to thank you personally, but I don't have access to who you are. Just know I'm deeply grateful!
