Story
My Dad died 29/09/23 After a battle with oesophageal cancer that would take his life less than a year after diagnosis. We knew very little about what we would have to go through and endure my dad, especially, but as a family it was all alien and overwhelming both emotionally and physically for many different reasons. If i am honest, I only heard of OPA after dad passed away and only wish we had made contact from the beginning of our painful heartwrenching journey. Because of this I have decided to take part in 3 big events this year to try and highlight this brilliant charity that I wish we had known about because I don't doubt they would have helped us in some way. For more than three decades, the OPA has been at the forefront of the battle against oesophageal and gastric cancers. Their primary mission is to provide assistance to patients, families, and caregivers while promoting awareness about these types of cancers and their prevention. Whether you are in the early stages or further along in your journey, the OPA is dedicated to offering support and guidance.
