Event: The Big Walk 2024, on 28 June 2024
The Big Walk 2024 is back and better than ever! Returning on Friday 28 June, walkers will be fundraising to improve the lives of MND patients long into the future.

Story

This year, as well as the select super fit souls taking on the Big Walk - in support of Motor Neurone Disease Research at the University of Sheffield, the larger Finance team are taking part in the much more achievable 'little walk' around the parks surrounding the University. This is on 11th July 2024

Any donations are appreciated to help reach our fundraising goal! All funds raised will go towards the Finance Big Walk total.

For those walking the Little Walk, we ask for a minimum £10 donation. More is encouraged at your discretion!

MND is a terminal condition. It affects the brain and nerves and is nearly always fatal. There is currently no cure. It is commonly regarded as a rare condition. But this isn't true. 1 in every 300 people, across all UK communities, will develop MND in their lifetime. MND kills six people in the UK every day, with a third of those diagnosed losing their lives within just a year. Tragically, people die from this devastating disease because there are currently no treatments that can stop it. Your support can make a much needed breakthrough in MND come sooner. And improve the lives of patients long into the future.
