WE STRIVE SO WILDLIFE CAN THRIVE. On 23rd September the WVI team with 13 supporters are walking between 25 - 50k to raise vital funds so wildlife conservation projects get the veterinary expertise they need to help protect & restore biodiversity.

Story

My sister Angela works for this amazing wildlife conservation charity. Up for a challenge she asked...... before I knew it, she convinced me to sign up to my 1st Ultra Challenge Event.

So together, we will be walking 50k in one day in the Chiltern countryside to raise vital funds that can help protect our wildlife and restore the balance of our ecosytems.

As an animal lover, wildlife conservation is close to my heart. We all know saving species from extinction is a complicated puzzle, with no quick fix. The challenges those who work in conservation are immense, however we all have a role to play.

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the risks all species, humans included, face from emerging infectious disease. As natural barriers between wildlife, livestock and people continue to be eroded, those risks also increase. This is especially true for endangered species, where low numbers and fragmented populations mean disease outbreaks can be particularly deadly.

WVI train local vets and biologists so that they can identify, monitor and mitigate disease threats, treat sick or injured animals, & safely reintroduce species to the wild.

Please donate what you can, every pound will be very much appreciated. Your support will help motivate us with our training and off course help us go the distance with our 1st ever 50k.
