I feel like the elderly can be some of the most overlooked groups in our society. Once war heroes, NHS doctors or your regular post man, every elderly person has a story to tell. However, most people either don’t care or aren’t inclined to listen. It’s a harsh reality that many older people face, especially with the growth in technology and the ease at which younger generations communicate.

Friends of the elderly is a charity designed to offer companionship, support and engagement to older people.

I would like to raise money for this charity and raise awareness around the issues facing elderly people that are often swept under the carpet.

Any donation is a step closer to helping improve the quality of life for older people.
