Story
Whilst KAOS sits idle in the dry dock this Winter, the crew needed some inspiration to get moving… 42.2 kilometres or 26.2 miles to be exact!
Seven members of the crew will be tackling the Hamburg marathon for a great cause on the 28th of April .
With one in two people affected by cancer, it’s no surprise we have to support our fellow crew members through some tough times. Being away from home, we sometimes feel like we’re unable to be there for our loved ones and unable to help from afar. However, we’ve decided to run headlong into fundraising to do what we can and we’re asking you to join us in supporting a great cause.
We are reaching out for your help to spread the word about our fantastic charity partner – The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The Marsden is a facility close to our hearts, providing lifesaving research, treatment, support and care for not only those living with cancer, but the friends and relatives of those affected by this dreadful disease.
Any donations or social media shares would be kindly appreciated to help raise as much awareness for our challenge as possible.
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world.
From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
