Birmingham Mind Mental Elf 2023 · 3 December 2023 ·

Mental Elf is a 5km family fun run suitable for all ages and abilities. Whether you walk, jog, skip or run the 5km, its all about having lots of festive fun whilst raising funds so we can support the people in Birmingham and the wider communities.

Story

On Sunday 3rd December, DC & Zoe are running the warm up for Birmingham Mind's first ever Mental Elf 5K Run/Walk event at Cannon Hill Park.

This fun event focuses on bringing people together, not only to fundraise, but to raise awareness for mental health and wellbeing.

It promotes the benefits of physical activity, whilst connecting with others to do something to help our community. We all know the festive season can be a difficult time for some.

During the Christmas week last year Birmingham Mind received contact from 356 people on their 24/7 mental health helpline. All funds raised during the Mental Elf 5K, will stay in Birmingham to help support the services that Birmingham Mind offer. Services such as their 24/7 mental health helpline and their Wellbeing Hub at The Bullring & Grand Central.

Together we can ensure no one has to face their mental health struggles alone this Christmas.

We’re asking the Kaizen community to join us for a walk around the course, for some crispy winter fresh air and to do some good for our wider community.
