We offer financial and practical support to families whose children have cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A year ago today I shaved my brothers hair. About to undergo chemotherapy treatment for his brain tumour at just 18 years old he asked his little sister to shave his head before his hair fell out. I gladly accepted the offer of being a hairdresser and we went out into the garden, I didn’t realise how much the meant to be funny video would impact me. This summer I have made the decision to shave my own head to raise money for the charity Abbys Heroes that helped my brother so much when he was receiving treatment at UHS (University Hospital Southampton). Abbys Heroes offer financial and practical help to support children and their families who come under the care of the Piam Brown ward and the Teenagers and Young Adults ward, examples of this include counsellors, days out, meals, financial grants, a play therapy room, end of treatment vouchers plus so much more, I owe it to the whole Abbys Heroes team to do this. Not only did you impact Josh’s life so positively at his worst time, you’ve inspired me to do incredible things in the aid of helping other children & their families who have been diagnosed with cancer. I have set up a just giving page for my challenge, please please donate generously to the amazing charity so that they can provide for the children 💜🦄
