Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Kindly supported by Phase Electrical Contractors, I will be attempting to swim 36 miles around Jersey to fundraise for the Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of Andrew.
Andrew was 15 when he was diagnosed with Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour. A rare and debilitating form of cancer that predominantly affects teenage boys. During his treatment, Andrew and his family were grateful to receive the support of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Teenage Cancer trust units don’t feel like hospital. They’re specially designed spaces where young people facing cancer can feel at home, meet others their age, welcome family and friends, and get the very best care from dedicated nurses and youth support teams.
Sadly, Andrew lost his battle aged 16yrs. A dare devil and thrill seeker by nature, this challenge seemed an apt tribute to him and a great opportunity to raise much needed funds for other children and their families affected by cancer.
