Story
I was recently diagnosed with Axial Spondyloarthritis (axial SpA) after 10+ years of incurable back pain. axial SpA is a painful, progressive form of inflammatory arthritis which mainly affects the spine but can also affect other joints, tendons and ligaments.
The work the National Axial Spondyloarthritis Society does to help me and others understand and live with this condition is hugely valuable, so as part of #GamingForAS I'm streaming a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 marathon from 8pm to midnight on 4-6 August 2023 to help raise funds and awareness of the work they do.
By watching and donating to #GamingForAS, you’re helping NASS help thousands of people affect by axial SpA live well with the condition.
National Axial Spondyloarthritis Society doesn’t receive any government funding and thanks to your donations, they're here to listen, understand and provide practical support, support that makes a world of difference to thousands of people affected by this painful and progressive form of inflammatory arthritis.
£10 can enable their Helpline team to respond to a call or email and provide guidance and advice to someone struggling with their axial SpA.
£25 could help provide a pack of NASS guidebooks for a local axial SpA clinic.
£50 could provide welfare and benefits support for someone experiencing financial hardship.
£100 could help by contributing towards the cost of one of their weekly My AS My Life sessions to help people manage their symptoms between hospital appointments.
£250 could help NASS run an online session to help up to 20 people learn how to manage symptoms of axial SpA, such as pain, fatigue and sleep.
