Story

We're back!! Thank you for taking a moment to visit our fundraiser page for The Ringer and Team Packee/Bushweiler. Once again, we will be among a handful of golfers setting out to play 100 holes of golf on April 25th, with fundraising proceeds supporting the MACC Fund. Please take a moment to learn more about the cause, event and donate to help us reach our goal. Feel free to spread the word by sharing this with your friends and family. After raising over $200,000 over the last five years, we plan to exceed $50,000 for 2023. Thank you for choosing to support our efforts and the MACC fund, we greatly appreciate your generosity!

The Cause:

We have been inspired by the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) and their efforts in funding research to battle childhood cancer and blood disorder. Since the organization was started in 1976, it has contributed over $60 MILLION towards cancer research. 75% of those funds are generated through fundraising events like The Ringer. Learn more about the MACC fund and it's mission in the link below.

The Event:

On April 25th, we will tee off with a small group at The Bog and not return to the clubhouse until we complete 100 holes of golf. This small event of two dozen golfers has successfully raised over $500,000 in the five years since the event's inception. "The Ringer" is named after the bell hanging on a wall at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, which is only rung when a child successfully completes his or her treatment. As a result of advances in treatment thanks to research funded by organizations like the MACC Fund, the five-year survival rate for all types of childhood cancer has improved from 20% when we started in 1976, to 80% today. It is our goal to see that number improve to 100% through continued efforts by organizations like our own.
