Story
The Hope Foundation (HOPE) is a charity that protects and educates vulnerable street-children in India who have suffered violence, abandonment, trafficking, sexual abuse and severe neglect.
In February, I visited HOPE's projects in Kolkata and saw for myself the life-changing work taking place.
It was humbling to meet the children in HOPE's care, who have the widest smiles and brightest eyes - all keen to learn!
HOPE offers the children safe, engaging and welcoming learning spaces, and gives them a sense of belonging.
Often first generation learners, HOPE is positively changing these children's lives; enabling them with self-esteem, confidence and skills to break their cycle of poverty and build better futures for themselves and their communities.
My visit to Kolkata has inspired me to take on the Footsteps For HOPE challenge. By signing up, I will walk 10,000 steps each day until 12 May to raise vital funds to sustain HOPE's education programmes.
Thank you for any donation you can give to help me reach my target! Every penny given will help educate a child in need.
Thank you for your support 😊
