As Sight Life celebrates 160 years of enabling blind and partially sighted people, we’re inviting you to take on a personal challenge to raise £160 in honour of this milestone. Your support helps Service Users improve their wellbeing, live independently, and take part fully in their communities.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Most friends & family know me with very short hair, so whilst working from home, I have decided to grow it and get it cut/shaved for a good cause – Sight Life.

Sight Life provides the essential help, advice and support for anyone with sight loss across South Wales in Cardiff, Swansea and Rhondda Cyon Taf. We support people through home visits, activity and peer support groups in the community and through 1:1 sessions to improve health and wellbeing and reduce isolation. Sight Life provide advice and support to help people exercise, learn to use technology and reduce incidents of falls and accidents.

I have sight problems, and appreciate the issues that Visually Impaired people encounter at home, out & about, especially with public transport.

More people should be aware of VI, (not always noticeable), and of individual’s needs.
