The Friends of the Ocala Public Library are dedicated to helping the library provide valuable services to our community. From access to books, music, and fun and educational programs, to supporting library staff through tuition reimbursement and providing information on library programs through a quarterly magazine, the Friends play a crucial role in enabling the library to enrich the lives of patrons of all ages.

Their commitment extends to supporting the programs and services offered at multiple library branches (Sankofa, Reddick, Ft. McCoy, Headquarters), including the upcoming Silver Spring Shores area branch. Join us in celebrating our cause by participating in the 'Friends of the Ocala Library Read A Thon 2024', a reading event scheduled for August 3, 2024. Our fundraising goal is $15,000 USD. Your support will help us continue our mission of fostering a love for reading and learning within our community.
