Story
I sadly lost my Mum to cancer in May 2022. During Mum’s short illness we cared for her as a family but as you can imagine, this is hard work and exhausting for all involved. Thanks to the care team at Nottinghamshire Hospice, we had an amazing nurse who looked after Mum during the night so that we could get some sleep and rest knowing that she was being cared for. Sadly, Mum passed away during their second visit but their compassion and kindness was just amazing! There are no words to explain how, as a family this meant to us so I have decided to do this fundraiser in her memory to say “Thank you”.
Nottinghamshire Hospice is a registered charity and all services are provided free of charge to our patients and their loved ones.
Our mission is to add life to every day for people who have been told their illness cannot be cured, helping them to live as actively and well as possible with care that puts them at the front of everything we say and do.
We achieve this through the kindness and generosity of people in communities across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire who recognise the difference our work makes. Thank you so much for your support.
