Story
As a CAP South East team, we’re walking the whole Pilgrims’ Way (150 miles) from Winchester to Canterbury via Guildford during the month of October to raise awareness on the amount of people living in poverty in our region and to raise fund for Christians Against Poverty.
On Saturday 7th October 2023, a group of us will focus on the 6th section of the Pilgrim's Way: West Humble to Merstham (Climbing up Box Hill and Colley Hill).
Around one in five people in the South East of England (20%) are currently living in poverty – that’s 1.9 million people. Christians Against Poverty's free and professional debt advice, money coaching, job clubs and life skills has never been more needed. CAP works through local churches all over the South East region bringing hope and help to those in crisis, many of whom are in very vulnerable situations. As a team, we have seen first hand the increase of needs, of mental health issues over the last few years. It is not ok!
Your donation will enable us to provide essential services to those in need. Every penny counts and your support will make a real difference. Together, we can make a lasting impact on poverty and create a brighter future for those who need it most.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Please help us reach our goal of £500 and join us in making a difference!
